Discover Local Diving
The PADI Discover Local Diving is a supervised underwater tour designed to orient divers to unfamiliar aquatic conditions and environments. It can also be used to reintroduce divers to the open water environment after a period of diving inactivity. Being with a guide, divers can comfortably explore different underwater environments, find items of interest and avoid potential hazards.
Course Prerequisites
*Be at least 10 years old
*Fill out the necessary paperwork
*Have proof of certification
Required Equipment
Each student must have their own:
*Mask
*Snorkel
*Fins
*Boots (if appropriate for fins)
*Appropriate exposure suit
Required Materials
Each diver must have:
*A Log Book
Course Overview
For the course we will give a briefing of the dive site to let you know the local conditions, hazards and points of interest. We will explain special procedures used in the area or during the dive. Underwater we will lead you around the site and point out things along the way. After the dive we will discuss your thoughts and what we experienced. To end, we will sign your log book.
We can conduct this dive at Lake Pleasant, Mohave Lake or multiple shore diving locations in California.
Course Tuition
$50 for Lake Pleasant. $75 for Lake Mohave. California prices vary depending on location, number of dives and length of trip.
